Oedipus, also known by Oedipus the King, is an Athenian tragedy by Sophocles. Given the story is very well-known and the issue it reflects is so eternal , I’m less interested in precise realism or literally following the scripts. My interest is revisiting the classic from a contemporary perspective and visualizing the blindness and anxiety of Oedipus, in which to make connection with audiences. Seeing is the most symbolic point of the play. So I ask myself two questions: 1\How to see? 2\What to see? Those questions become threads of my design.
